He excels in navigating the complexities of the public market and driving digital transformations as an Operating Partner, leveraging clear and quantifiable business metrics. Jose's proven ability to oversee internal functions, expand teams, and establish cross-functional processes in dynamic, fast-paced environments has been instrumental in rapidly scaling businesses.

Highlights of Jose's career include building strong investor relations, successfully selling two distinct businesses (e3Learning & Open Colleges), securing fourfold capital funds for an ASX-listed company, and providing advisory expertise in the IPO process. He consistently demonstrates the ability to conceive, initiate, and successfully establish B2B SaaS platform startups across APAC, the USA, and the UK, achieving $1 million in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) within less than two years from their launch.

 

Jose's impact extends to organizations like Open Colleges, where he transformed business financial valuation from a negative enterprise value of $10 million to a positive $30 million. He elevated sales and marketing operations, resulting in revenue growth from $45 million to $68 million, and adeptly navigated the COVID-19 crisis by transitioning the organization to a hybrid and virtual operating model, optimizing productivity by over 40%.

 

His leadership was also instrumental in transforming an ASX-listed HR-Tech startup, Gooroo, from a cash-burning enterprise to achieving $1 million in annual revenue. Additionally, Jose played a pivotal role in expanding Google's presence into LATAM markets and EMEA, achieving a remarkable 1000% YoY market penetration increase for Google Analytics.

 

In the education sector, Jose's contributions include pioneering an innovative omnichannel customer acquisition revenue stream that underpinned the digital transformation for future IPO execution of IDP Education, achieving an impressive 300% YoY growth in new customer acquisition in the APAC region. At Open Universities Australia, he spearheaded substantial revenue growth, expanding the customer base, and implementing cost-saving measures.

 

In the realm of technology and digital, Jose masterminded the monetization, development, commercialization, scaling, and establishment of two registered generic top-level domains (gTLDs), securing 10% profits over ten years. He also led the formulation of a monetization strategy in partnership with Neustar and CSC.
