Values are beliefs about what is good and desirable. This includes what we consider good and desirable for ourselves, for others and for the wider community. The decisions we make every day are a reflection of our values as much as others' judgement and assessment what our values truly stand for.

Individual values reflect what we consider important for our own self-interests. What is the experience we create for ourselves?

Relationship values reflect how we relate to other people in our life. What is the experience we create for others?

Social values reflect how we relate to society. What is our legacy to future generations?

A bit about me...

What I believe

Learning and mastering how to THINK is the most critical skill in life.

The largest threat of a leader is EGO.

Talent wins games, but TEAMWORK wins championships.

When you get rare rare opportunities to exercise COURAGEdon’t miss your chance.

The scarcity of BEING AUTHENTIC is so common that surprises people when they come across it.

VALUES are only demonstrated when crisis, conflict or commercial interests are under pressure.

LEADERSHIP is the recognition and commitment to humility to embrace the dichotomy between “Follow and be followed”, “lead and be led” and “inspired and be inspired”.

EMPATHY is the hardest skill to exercise…assuming we are competent at it means that we lack self-awareness.

PATIENCE is always at test with your own kids… I have failed many times.

Decision making is the ability to mitigate two RISKs: 1. Incomplete information and 2. Incorrect information.

Fair access to quality EDUCATION for all is the foundation for sustainable wealth creation and social well-being.

Strategy eats Operations for lunch… and CULTURE eats Strategy for breakfast and dinner.

Customers are the ULTIMATE REALITY of your organisation, products and services.

Technology always works. If it doesn't, make accountable the HUMANS who implemented not the end user.

PEOPLE are the greatest asset of any business.

Cash is KING.

Relationships really matter…be OPEN as SELECTIVE when building, nurturing and investing in them.

Have FUN. Life is short.

What I achieved

Married three times with the same woman over 15 years. Father of two beautiful trilingual twins. Cultivated and nurtured strong family and diversity values...whilst there is no official award for this it is my biggest achievement in my opinion!.

Three knee reconstructions. Two ankle reconstructions in 2022. Luckily, no head reconstruction at least yet! The achievement is behind the mental resilience to overcome the healing process, get back to fitness, and never fear those injuries ahead of a game.

Studied regularly overseas  since the early age of 13 years old, across four continents and in seven Universities. Worked, migrated and lived in different regions of the world for 20+ years.  The achievement is to have stepped outside my comfort area many times (still today), adapted to new environments and cultures, learned from a broad range of individuals, and found a path to turns unknowns into opportunities. It was not easy though.

Fluent in two languages (English and Spanish). Studied another three languages (Mandarin, French and Latin) with much lesser success. My native accent has never changed. The achievement is to have turned an unfamiliar accent for many in some countries like Australia into an advantage as a point of differentiation.
